Default CG hangar9 twin Otter

Hi guy's,When you have the CG on your twin otter good, and the plane fly's perfect...what happens when you are on the grond and pushes the tail against the ground.
1. The plane stays heavely with tail on the ground.
2. The plane is almost in balance but stays with the tail on the ground.
3. The plane is almost in balance but slightly goes back to the nosewheel.
4. The plane goes heavely back to his nose wheel.

I am curious if your plane reacts the same as mine :-)

Default RE: CG hangar9 twin Otter

If your plane is trimmed out straight and level flight and your elevator is in a neutral position, sounds like the CG is perfect.

Not much weight on the nose wheel as the plane sits on the ground sounds like the main landing gear is a little too far forward, too close to the CG.

Hope this helps.

Chuck
