Twin Otter 125inch wingspan

I wish to ask if the plans are still available and whether one can still obtain a cut kit?
Hi Simco, is that landing gear set a one -off or readily available set?
Thanks
Reuben

This gear is the standard main for the kit. Nose wheel setup was I believe a steerable set up from some other manufacturer. I think I still have the plans somewhere. National would probably cut it or the ebay otter kit could be substituted. Johns plans and kits web site is down. He was the one that cut my kit

Thanks for the info. Maybe I will eventually find a digital copy of these plans. Would be good to trace the plans and get it ready for cnc cutting. Anyway, thanks for now.

What a beautiful airplane you built, very well done, Beautiful shots!!!! I can tell you did a great labor! It must fly like dream!
The only thing I will point out is the awful looking wheels rims on that great aircraft..., they look borrowed from a hand cart. Hopefully some manufacturer offer real scale wheels and rims like Glennis used to offer..
Looking forward to a flying video!!!

I was hoping for the plans too and the site was down. I found a similar looking project on e Bay so I decided to order it and turns out it was the short plans and 3d cuts for this particular model. I see it’s still for sale now. I’m about 50 % into my build.

I am interested in tackling John's 130-inch Twin Otter. This forum post has lost all of the great build pictures. That's disappointing. I contacted John for build pictures and instructions. He is no longer providing kits and all his files are in storage and not accessible at this time. I do have his plans in front of me. He suggested I make a request on this forum for a copy of the CD that came with his kit. He said it had over 60 pictures plus the build instructions. If you still have, can I get a copy of the CD? It would be appreciated.

i had built the golden knights otter for a friend of mine.( scroll back a few and you will see it) when i was done all the documentation went back to him. i didnt keep any of it. unfortunately he passed a few years ago and his wife sold off all his R/C equipment.. if you have some experience building from plans you should have no problem. good flying airplane..takes up a lot of real estate on the building table. feel free to post any questions, i will help out the best i can

Don't know if you got those other messages Dennis, was just saying I sent out the flash drive on Wednesday, you should get it next week sometime. Don't worry about the cost, I'm glad to help.
