This one may or may not qualify for this forum. It's more like stand-way-off-and-squint scale. If it's too much of a stretch to be included, I'll delete the post.

Thanks Paul. I was hoping you'd jump in here. Don't you dare delate it!
I know there are others, too

Here's a couple of my birds. The C45 is from Acme Models and the B29 is a Jim Young's short kit. Both are electron powered

I started with a single black & white photo of the full scale and a pair of Great Planes J-3 ARF's. Power is two OS .70 four strokes controlled by a Twin Sync by RC Showcase. Servos are Hitec and Rx is Spektrum. This year I've updated the landing gear to Robart scale gear with struts to join the two fuselages to match the full scale. I've also upgraded the wing struts to a more scale profile and added jury struts. The props overlap nearly the full length of the blade requiring the port engine to be shifted approx. 1.5" forward of the starboard one. The prop overlap makes for some very interesting sounds as the engines oscillate in and out of sync. Maiden flight was in spring of 2004 and the plane was very nearly lost when one engine flamed out and the plane stalled and went into a spin. Fortunately I was able to recover from the spin with about 4' of altitude left and safely land. Great flyer and just starting the engines will draw a crowd

IMO, your in. Interesting subject and model, great video and flying. Thanks for sharing.

PS2727,
Outstanding effort on both projects. You're right, not many airliners out there.
I may apply some of the "lessons learned" on my EDF S-3 Viking to a B737 or similat airframe.
Again, nice job!!

Thanks guys,
The Convair is to 1/15 scale and is my own design. I made molds for the fuselage and nacelles; the rest is balsa and ply. The idea was to make a generic mold so that any version of the series could be made. Should make a great electric scale model although glow would work too.
One day I'll get it in the air!

Paul and Ed are right, not too many airliners are built or posted.

Paul good to see you have been working on Convair, i think it's the most beautiful twin engine propliner out there. Here are my Multis...

Super Constellation L1049G, now that the weather is starting to open up for good warm, i will be making moulds of it. Paul get that CV ready, i want one!!

Avro Lancaster Bomber, juss airframe sitting collecting dust, anyone interested...

B-25 Mitchell being converted into post-was RCAF's transports...This is the little twin that got me into twins and mutlis, just beautiful flier.

WOW!

After looking at the stuff others have posted, I'm nervous about showing mine!

If any of y'all are within reasonable driving distance of Ames, Iowa, please Come On Down to the Multi-Fly September 5 and we'll treat you like the crown royalty you are!

OK, here they are: you said just the scale stuff, right?

1) My VQ collection: two 38's and a 61
2) CBA-38....126", 52lbs
3) Yellow-38: my first and still favorite, but not flyable anymore
4) KMP-25: highly modified, featured in Fly RC mag last May dropping bombs.
5) Ziroli-61

I left out my non-scale, or anything I've crashed beyond repair (except the Yellow, which flew 4 years), and one or two I haven't flown yet.

If you like, I could show pictures of other folks' great planes, like past winners of Best in Show at the Iowa meet? Rick's Beech 18 (above) is just such an aircraft. Even prettier in person.

dutch, you would certainly qualify as "not in reasonable driving distance" of Iowa, but I would love to see your stuff someday.

Thanks for joining in, MT. You make the great state of Iowa right proud with that group! That pair of -61's is awesome (I'm a bit partial to Black Airplanes)
Remember - as long as its a scale subject, they are ALL good here!
Old is fine, too - We even let a dinosaur in!

Thanks. From my head gear, you may have guessed my other-great-state roots.

First pic is "Jimmy Bananas" and me after a successful dual flight at the 2007 meet. His is an ASM-61

Second is of my two Black Widows on a day they both flew. Along with a single engine model for which I also have a weakness.

MT,
Uh huh... Sneaking in that single on us,eh? We'll let her slide since it is quite capably surrounded by two of Americas finest! I have the KMP version on the boards now, BTW.
