4 donks for a B-17
Hello All
Has anyone built a B-17 from Paval Bosak plans? In the write up 4 x 3.5cc (0.21 cubic inch) 2 stokes are suggested, but on the plan 4 x 0.35 cubic inch 2 strokes are whats mentioned. My gut feel is that 4x 0.21's would be more than enough ( 76" wingspan ) as the wing area is huge and the 17 aint no rocket ship. I have a twin with a similar wingspan ( but with a much cleaner shape and lower weight ) and 35's provide more than enough urge. I guess I am looking for some reasurance before forking out for 4 X 0.20's ( You gotta love those multi's ) Thanks and Best regards Steve |

What's the all up weight supposed to be? Unless it's really heavy the four 0.21 engines should fly it very well. Bill. |

Thanks Bill
I had a look at the plan last night and there is no mention of an AUW, Being sheeted balsa wings and fus I am guessing 5-7 kg. I think 20's should be enough omph. I see mention of a magazine review so I will be contacting the publisher for a back copy Best regards Steve |
