Default E-flite UMX Timber STOL RC Plane

I am happy to share my review of the new E-flite UMX Timber STOL RC Plane with you guys.

This video shows the Unboxing:

This video was taken of the Maiden Flight Review on a very windy evening.

Review Notes:

Pros:
- It handles wind very well
- There is plenty of power for all kinds of flying
- It is easy to fly, beginner friendly in SAFE mode provided they fly in a wide open space because it takes a while to maneuver in that mode.
- The Tundra Tires look cool and allow it to take-off from and land on a variety of surfaces.
- It accommodates floats
- The lights are really cool for something at this price point

Cons:
- It does not taxi well
- The stickers were not properly applied
- The manual did not have complete instructions for SAFE or flaps.
- The flaps were off out of the box

This thing is a winner. The more I fly it and get it dialed in, the more I like it!

This is a battery test with a larger than recommended battery and scenic flight video with this awesome little guy!

*bump* I've got to agree completely - with a 500Mah 2s zippy I can get 15+ minute flights on this little guy...and the heavier battery helps it handle a bit more wind.

Thanks for the bump!

This plane continues to be one of the best UMX's. It is so good it is on par with the UMX Pitts, plus it has lights.

Thank you! You should get it, it is still one of my favorites and I am not even a big high wing plane fan

I recently received one as a gift from my son. Have been out of the hobby for about 10 years. I am having trouble with one thing. When ever I turn off safe mode it pitches up about 75 degrees. Any suggestions?

Adjust your CG farther forward and some down trim. It shouldn't pitch up like that if the CG and trim is on point.

I hope that helps!
