Soldering mats

We fix components like Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs), diodes, transistors, inductors, and integrated circuits (IC), so we'll naturally get a busy and messy environment. Has anyone used soldering mats like an excellent partner to serve as a protective layer and a tool keeper? Thanks all

I've used soldering mats to protect against static electricity when working on circuit boards and other electronics. Not seen one used as a tool keeper, though.

I'll bet you this brand new member is about to post about a product that does just that from the company that's paying him to join here and start threads about solder mats.

Yep, sounds about right to me. Kinda strange that the new member would post this in "user product reviews" VS one of the more electronic based subforums here......

Wouldn't surprise me a bit if you are right about that.
