I have not flown Helis. Looking on the web I found only crash kits for the raptor 30 ($60). Do you have a source for just the tail blades?

Levi. Where did you get the bearing? What size is it? Is 3dFoamy thinking of offering a parts kit for this?
Thanks, Phil

The AXI 2208 series uses standard bearings. One 1/8 ID by 3/8 OD, and one 1/8 ID x 5/16 OD. I got mine from BOCA Bearings, but they are widely available.

About the AXI's conversion to hollow shaft. The procedure we followed was pretty much as described by Levi for the Hacker.

But, there is one crucial difference. The shaft retaing setscrew is set with 'permanent' Loctite. You must use extreme care removing it. Here is what to do do:

1. Make sure that you use a very close fitting setscrew wrench. Positioned it as securelyl as possible. An SAE wrench lightly tapped in worked well for us.
2. Hold a high-power (at least 60W) soldering iron as close as possible to the setscrew.
3. Maintain a steady pressure on the wrench while heat is appied. The setscreww should come loose (3 times for us so far)
4. CAUTION: Heat will weaken the Magnets. Clamp the housing to absorb excess heat, and if it takes too much time, let things cool between tries.

Good Luck. I should get my EVP today?

I got the EVP yesterday. It is a smart simplified design, but the head is awfully contrived. I'll try it, but already thinking that it needs to be modified.
No luck yet ardering the Ikarus PPS.

Same here, ive seen and tried the manufacturer's vpp but they are all way too breakable, constantly waiting on parts, this looks pretty sturdy, i already have a 30 size venture heli, but i cant strip it down, it wouldnt be worth it, but the tail rotor for it looks VERY strong like it could really handle what i put a foamy through, which is sometimes a tree

Hi, I'd like to build a VPP-prop too, but do you let the servo horn that's connected to the ball links turn around the music wire/carbon, or do you have a ball bearing between the servo arm and the music wire so the music wire turns with the motor???

Just a question here for Levi-
what size ball bearing did you use on the control horn (pitch slider)?
