OK...still playing with my VPP setup....
I need a lighter/smaller battery...that I know
but I've heard that the HS-55 that I am using for the variable pitch servo doesn't have enough ooomph.
So...what would be the best servo for the pitch without adding extra weight???
Cheers

I'v got a BlueBird BMS-371 on mine, works great.
It's the same size and weight as a 55 but has 21 oz. of torque in .12 sec. compared to 15.27oz. in .17 sec. for the 55.
Here's one source for them: http://www.balsapr.com/catalog/Servo...ductId=T557857

I've used both HS-55 and CS-4.4 servos for pitch on VPP's and both performed fine with proper mechanical advantage. Use an inboard hole on the servo arm and it should have the 'oomph' needed for either of the off-the-shelf VPP units available.
