i have herd that a 10 once max weight for good vvp flying any counters

It isn't determined by weight, but rather by motor and prop size. Of course you'll want to keep the plane as light as possible to 3D well though. There's a VPP setup for giant scale planes with DA100 gas engines which shows that a 10oz weight is certainly not the limit. I plan to build or buy a VPP setup for a 14oz plane.

My RCUnivers Bipe is about 13 oz. it can stop nose down but can't go up inverted. This is with the Great Planes V-Pich, butt I got the e-flite set up and going to try it with the same plane, will see how it go.
