Is VPP fun?

I recently got G3.5 flight sim and wanted to test VPP flying. I have to say I don't find it all that fun. Can someone with a VPP aircraft tell me if they find it fun? Is it worth the hassle? Maybe its just not that fun on G3.5.

I try the G3.5 in my LHS and I like it, you can use it to get the feel on the sticks. The real thing is much better Im not and expert flying it but whatever tricks I can do it's fun. But this kind of flying is not for everyone if you don't find it fun on the G3.5 you whon't find it fun for real, it's harder than the sim.

In this part of the forum there is not much action I think not to many of the member know about the Electric Aircraft Univers. Moust of them just look in the main forum I use to do the same until I discover it on my own. Maybe you can ask on the RC Airplanes Forum under 3d Flying and into 3D electric flying forum.

I was hoping for some opinions, good or bad. I am considering vectored thrust. It looks more useable and fun. Take a look: http://www.rcsuperpowers.com/videos/F-22_Trailer.wmv

Nice video with some amazingly sharp turns. A close up of the vectoring system and movement would have been nice though.
Also, would have like to have heared his throttle technique instead of the awful music.

I'm no expert, but that plane looks like it has the same flight characteristics as the HyperFlea, which would make me think it's more the delta shape and elevon control than the power source.

that was definitely vectored flying. dont dis the music although i agree: never put music with your flying video. i hate music when i want to hear the throttling and such. but yeah with that vectored flying you can do some serious slo stunts. if you get one of the really good ones you can learn to fly knife-edges real easy. still though they are extremely jittery. sometimes they're too light to fly in much wind. lemme tell you: flat spins are so much more fun with vectored thrust. if you've flown your yak or whatever and then gotten stuck in a flat spin all you can do is dread the landing. or crash. with vectoring you can do it intentionally. sweet stuff. way better than vpp.

oops haha sorry that plane in the vid was a prop. forgot what forum i was in.[sm=red_smile.gif] where is my mind?[sm=confused.gif] still though, vectored jets are best.

RE: Is VPP fun?

Yeah it's just a lightweight pusher prop, the motor doesn't move, it's just the shape of the plane and elevons that make it capable of those stunts, very cool though, looks hard.

Which plane in real flight is 4D? Maybe I can try this? Thanks Ron

In the G3.5 there is the flatout extra Vp that is ready right out of the box.
