Thanks tommie! that is some collection you have!

I got the tail as part of an upgrade from ehirobo that came with the 60 metal head, elf hobby motor and esc. I had the 60 head installed but it wasn't quite right. So the head is now a conglomerate of walkera and sonix parts due to lots off crashes. It's no trex head but definately more durable now.

hey guys,

i tried flying my heli again and tail doesnt spin anymore but i encountered a different problem.......

when the heli try to lift off, the heli try to tip itself to the right when you look at it in the front....

also does the paddles need to be angled when they get screw in?

how about the main blades? should they be o degree after it initilize when no throttle is applied??

thanks

The paddes are required to be leveled after you screw them in.

The only purpose the paddles have are to make the heli controllable by

keeping a proper balance, by using the weights you see attached,

Professional flyers remove these weights to enhance controllability and responsiveness

which are needed to do 3d tricks.

Concerning the blades angle, (pitch) that depends on your personal settings.

Some of us have lzero angle for starters. let me advice, this is a real bad thing.

Cause if you go outside and the more learn to fly, you will see that when

you want to bring the heli down, it will not come down eaisly and you will

loose control.. You bring the throttle down, and you get is the BALLON EFFECT,

its all over the place. Thats why is good to have a bit of negative pitch, so that

im a windy condition that can happen at anytime, you can bring it down under control.

Apply power to the remote. Apply power to the heli. Do not throttle up.

Always turn on the remote 1st.

Make all your trims on your remote centered.

Visually inspect the swashplate. It must be exactly leveled in relation to

the ground and body of the heli. Look at the swashplate with the nose

of the heli facing you.. ( becareful, make sure you dont apply throttle!)

you will see if it's more to the left or the right, or back or forth...

Once you see the problem, you can fix it my adjusting the linkages to go from

the servos to the swashplate.

Then after you do the mecanical adjustment, and can't no more, then you go

to your trim on the remote control. Keep doing this until you feel

confident with the results. Trail and error.

i think im setting the rudder wrong....i turn dipswitch 12 and start adjusting v1 and v2 but i just cant get it?

how should i setup the v1 and v2 if dipswitch 12 is on?????

Quite some time I have not used the Walkera Tx.
If I remembered correctly to remove rudder mixing,
CCW set all the way for V1 and CW all the way for V2 which means +100%. Rudder mixing and AVCS cannot run together.

For your tilting problem, other than your swashplate, make sure your CG is not way too off.
If it just drift to the left (viewed tail-in), it's perfertly normal.

To trim your heli, bring it to a hover at eye level and at the same time you can also see if the blades tracks ok.

OK.

First thing: Make sure your blade tracking is correct.

Lets forget about AVCS mode for know. Lets get the heli at least to fly level.
Switch the Gyro to Normal mode. ( with the power off), on the gyro, also move the
POT to 40-50%. On the remote make sure you have DIP#7 on.

This is assuming you have done a proper mecanical rudder adjustment, if not
let me know.. I can tell you how to do it, but basicly everything has to be
centered, the servo bellcrank, and also the rudder position at the rudder itself.
all nice and centered when you apply power with the remote on and the rudder trim
centered.

With the remote power off, goto dip switch # 12 , and move that to the on position.
Also, move V2 and V1 to ZERO, thats dead center.

The knob on your right, I think its V1, is the rudder mix adjustment when you have DIP #12 on,
and the knob on your left is the gyro sensitivity adjustment, also when DIP #12 is on.

Apply power to the REMOTE. Notice the different logo color "WALKERA" this indicated its in programming mode for #12 DIP.

Apply power to your heli. Make sure its facing the tail to you.

Throttle up and try to hover. if the tail wags left to right, LOWER the gyro sensitivity, V2.

When you apply power and it tends to rotate more as power is applied, that means your rudder mixing is low.
The way it works, the more throttle up , the more it should mix. (meaning it moves the rudder more to compensate).
So adjust accordingly (v1)

try again. If this does not work, then you have another issue, it could be your rudder is reversed. etc. etc.
I will think of some more reasons on why this can happen. There is a rudder REV swtich on the GYro, make sure
you have it set correctly.. ..lRepeat.

Once you find the proper setting, DONT POWER OFF THE REMOTE. LEAVE THE POTS ON THE POSITION THAT WORKS. THEN CAReFULLY
SWITCH DIP#12 to OFF, THEN POWER OFF. THis will store that POT setting into the memory.

GOod luck

If yo set the Gyro in normal mode,

you must set the rudder mix DIP #7on the remote to ON

If you use AVCS, rudder mix should be set to off position.
