Your the man dude,, thanks again. I have got the amount of travel in the swash correct. I am using longer blades 325mm. So from what im reading I need to adjust the V1 throttle curve way down to make it less agressive?
Im pretty sure everything else I have correct. I get a little tail searching. I tryed increasing gyro made it worse so I need to lower gyro sens I think . I might try play around with dipsw 12 see how i go.
To robin b.... I lowered the 37 shaft lower into the bearing and cut notch's aswell.

My main axis didn't have a notch in it and the one with the kit is short enough that the flybar hits the anti rotation bracket so it seems that i need one inbetween but I just realized that I can use the 37's shaft and just lower it through the bearings to what ever length that I need!
Do you think that it will work?
Thanks

It is very strange to see this thing in action as everything is backwards and that makes me very nervous to fly it even though I understand how it works, It's FREAKY!
Cross your fingers PLEASE,
Huey
PS With the blue head, tail, and motor, Red and white blades and red Trex canopy THIS THING IS BEAUTIFUL!

It's V1 in that mode.
But V1 with DIP#11 on, is not the throttle curve. it's the Exponential. V2 is the throttle curve

Hey, it does not have to be backwards.
Find the EHirobo manual on the Ehirobo website for that head..
It will show you how to connect the servos and how to set up the DIP swtiches,
so that works the proper way.

I'll check that out but I doubt that it will be simple as my first impression of this head was that it was assembled backwards (the norm. for Walkera) but I don't see anyway to reverse it.
I'll let you know what I find out.
Thanks again,
Huey

You dont seem to understand or I can't uderstand what your doing. The DF60 metal head
like the one posted in the pictures..needs the cyclic in the reverse order.
If you follow the connection scheme for the servos and the DIP settings for the
control, the servos will pull the swashplate DOWN...instead of up which is the norm..
YOu need the swashplate to pull down to get the lift on the DF60 Metal head illustrated
on my earlier post.

I tried the heli and the pitch is correct but the cyclic is backwards. I can't find the head's manuel on ehirobo but I picked up on the forum that you have to change the dip switches and the channel mapping too. Man this thing is really bassackwards from the original head but it seems really smooth so I guess I will try to make it work.

Hello all,
I have tried the ehirobo site and their hookup didn't work either. I have tried the dip switches and they didn't help so unless someone has an idea I guess that I will have to reverse the pitch mechanically.
Thanks for the help,
Huey

Thanks Rody,
Since I am installing this head on a 37 that has the seven channel Tx with a six channel Rx I may not get it to work like everyone elses.
But thanks again for the help,
Huey

Sorry you feel that way. Welcome to the RC heli world.
Cause regardless of what model, what type of heli, scale etc..
you have to have an understanding of the fundamentals.
These helis have a lot of mecanical moving parts. Never asume you know everything.
I have been flying for years, I'm more mecanical than actual flying, and still
I find suprises from other people in the hobby.
Since the begining of your posts, we stated, find manual. We said dips switches need
to be set, we also said the servos require different location on the connection side.
So swashplate got smashed!..welcome to the club..the same happened to me when
I was in your shoes... but I retapped my swashplate and replaced the ball linkages with
Align ones.. I kept going..until I got it to work.
Good luck on your endevour.

Thank you again for the help you have given me. I Have alot of experiance with the 36 but this is my first Eccpm Heli and I am trying something nonstandard with and got in trouble doing it.[:@]
Just part of the learning curve!
I do apreciate the help and advice and will be asking for more in the future.
I will get the 37 working, I just temporarily ran out of patience when the new swashplate broke just being cycled on the bench but will get back at it soon.
Thanks again,
Huey

Thats good to hear... you still have your 37.. it was really a nice heli.. and the way you modified the head parts and tail parts is a classic... I think a lot of the W37 owners had theirs modified that way too... Hows the 600 doing?

The 600 is a beast , as you know... It's really a good heli. I'm was not happy with the fly time though, Align makes the worst
batteries ever... I was only getting 3-5 minutes flytime.. and very poor, almost no power...
But, I bit the bullet, and got myself MEGA power batteries. 6000MA 25C. Oh my god! NIGHT AND DAY! Poeple
in the part ask me how can I manage to get 25 minutes of fly time? well..for starter I don't do lots of 3d..and I don't
fly aggresive, not heavy on the throttle and I fly 625mm..a bit longer blades and slower 1780 RPMS... ITS amazing..
Plus I can fly with a 8-15 mhp wind with no problem.
I'm was thinking of going with GLOW version...but, after I got these batteries...I'm not going too.

Well like me, once you go nitro u never go back. I have a nitro monster truck and absolutly love it. Bash the **** out of it. I cant believe I was still using electric.
Babyhuey dont give up. Its a lttle frustrating but stick to it. Its always something simple that will get you through it. I am waiting the day that I can flog the **** out of this heli and buy a better heli, but for now I must learn how to control hovers and movement.

Thanks for the encourigment Rody,
I shouldn't be complaining as my 36 is flying better than ever and I am finally progressing as a pilot. It will be winter soon and I will have plenty of time to work on my Heli projects.
I just got too excited about this Heli but it is a bigger challenge than I thought.
I never intended to put down Walkera because if it wasn't for their inexpensive Helis I never would have gotten into the hobby in the first place and it has been great fun!
I've also met such great people on the forums that I can't tell you all what a wonderfull time I have had B.S.ing with you.
Thanks again,
Huey

Hola ppl! I just bought a spektrum dx-6 and was having trouble setting up the Tx to fly my 37. Anyone know the swashplate settings(and any other tips, expo, etc) for the Tx?
Im also building a RCU flatout biplane(foamie) while im waiting for SoutheastRC.com to ship a new GWS 35A ESC. My walkera brushless 30A died in a puff of smoke. Cheers!

since no one else is answering I will try to help. I don't have a DX-6 but I'am pretty sure that It is a type 2 swash and you will want at least -20 percent expo.
Sorry but that's about all I know,

Setup your DX6 to CCPM mode. as stated in the back of the manual.
begin with NOR on all the servos. start around 60% for CP1 CP2 CP3.. then continue
from there.
