That's what I'm talking about! Someone that knows what their talking about!

Hey Cepeda 37,
Did you ever have one of the balls snap off in the alloy swashplate? If you did how did you fix it?
I tried to drill it out but it's tricky.

thanks,
Huey

Thanks to Cepedia and babyhuey, now all I have to do is find a GWS 35a esc, Southeastrc.com sent me the programming card without the esc, no phone call, nada.[] Oh well, at least I have my wildrc IFO to play with.

Is the GWS esc anygood? I haven't talked to anyone that is using them and I am always looking for good parts to upgrade with.[8D]

Also does anyone know of a good low priced servo the same size as the Hitec hs81?

Yes I have. It's a pain! If the hole that holds the screw is 2mm, then you have to retap it.

Get a tap kit, use the 2.5 drill bit, then create the new threads. make sure you have 2.5mm screw

that fits..or, more difficult. Use a dremme tool. make a slant line right above the hole. you want to try

to go deep enought so that you can use a flat head and remove the screw. Not pretty.

Or, try to find a 1.5mm drill bit, and drill out the screw.. your best option. then use the tap kit to repair

any damaged threads. Then you must extra hold lock tight for that section.

Let me understand this... you bought an ESC from Southeast and you only got the programming card?

If I were you, I would not stop calling them..

Thanks Cepeda,

I have already started to drill it out as nothing else has worked. It is very difficult to drill the screw and not the aluminum. I figure that if I have to I can epoxy a new bolt into the hole if nothing better comes along.

Thanks again,
Huey

It used to be a Heli, Now it's a smokin hole in the ground!

They(SoutheastRc.com) didn't charge me for the ESC, but I am still irked, I'm looking at my GWS programming card and no speed controller. They must specialize in dollhouses and model trains[&:]

OK I'm really sore now.
I gave up on drilling out the crap alloy swashplate and went back to the plastic one and now it wants to throw off the links when it spins up!
This Walkera alloy head is the worst screwing that I've taken since I started on Helis except for the POS Sabre that I started with[:@]

Does anyone know if the Trex plastic head will fit the 37?

HI,
I didn't have any problem installing the head, Just getting it to work properly. And then it started to fall apart! The balls for the links just span off for no reason and now the links won't stay on the other balls.
I'm going back to the plastic head!

Nope, Just bad parts, Plain and simple!

Does anyone know if the HOOOBY site is ok? They have the alloy swashplate for six bucks!
I can see spending that for another try.

Great success with HOOOBBY.com so far, good prices and quick shipping. Just waiting on the brown truck from tower hobbies now. 40.99US for the GWS 35a ESC, but its worth it. LHS wanted 51.00 and most websites have them on backorder. Will post my INVERTED HOVER skills on youtube soon.(yeah right)

I visited the HOOOBBY site and there is a warning posted that says that they can't process orders.
Anybody know what that is about?

Well I have the head back together and now I am upgrading the servos on my 37. It has the Align 325 Pro blades and the xl tail assembly on it.
I hope that I haven't created a monster here![:-] HA HA
