I have the 1#b 72MHz (not the 2.4GHz) and it's a pretty decent little heli. The 2.4GHz version looks even better.
It's only downside is the tail motor rather than a belt driven tail like the 1#a.
If you have the money, spring for the 1#a.
I would buy from airbornerc.com.au in Australia or ehirobo.com

I've crashed my 1#b many times, and it is easy to fix, and easy to get parts for now. AirborneRC, Ehirobo, and Xheli have parts.
It's pretty tough and a nice simple design, without all the un-necessary components of the older designs like the 22E.
The balance of the original 72MHz 1#b was tail heavy, so I removed the battery cage and velcroed the battery further forward. The tail motor is actually fairly sensitive, though it will never be as good as a belt driven tail rotor with variable pitch blades and a proper gyro.
It is very light weight for it's size and has good performance, without being too fragile IMO.

Well, i'm very new to flying these awesome beast.... Got my 1#B last week, and it really supprised my how sensitive it is. It's very much a pin point feel to fly, and by no means have i mastered this beast. Very agile, response and FAST. In fact way to much for my liking straight out of the box, so gonna dial it down abit during he process of chaging all the broken bits!!
