Default Walkera Lama 2 not flying forward straight

Just got the walkera lama 2 with the upgraded aluminum head (already installed upon order). Neat little heli and very stable in hover once things are trimmed out. I noticed that when I push the stick forward for forward flight it goes diagonally to the right so I have to give it a little pitch to the left. When I pull the stick back for backward flight, it goes backwards diagonally to the left and I have to give a little pitch to the right.

I noticed that the swashplate movement does not directly pitch forwards or backwards or pitch left and right. It looks like it pitches diagonally. Is this a mixing problem or is this a common thing with this heli?
