Default radio and reciever

was wondering if anyone had any remotes and reciever recomendations? was looking into a 6ch 24.ghz one, id like it to have the duel drive sticks like an airplane one, and maybe the 4 buttons on top to control turret and such

Well...

I may be a bit bias'd, but the futaba 4YF in its 2.4GHz configuration is probably the way to go if you like versatility. The guys already know where to wire in the 'gunswitches' for the Tamiya tanks, but you'll still need the sticks for traverse/elevation/throttle/steering, but depending on how you plug the connections into the DMD/MF unit, you can have any stick motion do any particular control. Many of us use the 'gunswitches' as a shortcut to avoid having to much about with the trims, and wiring momentary switches of a sort you like is the way to go there.

Depending on where you are in Ontario, you can probably have someone give you some hands-on help. Fireman Tim & Glen are down in Fort Erie, Airbrushler and a few others in the Toronto/mississauga area, we have some out in Windsor/Detroit area, and I'm up in Ottawa with a few others. Just look for our location under our names, and feel free to ask us for some assistance by PM or email.

As for the other radios... *shrug*... I'm a Tamiya/Futaba addict, though I have been known to stray from the path because they don't have the gear i'm looking for (like the Kyosho JGSDF LAV)
