Interesting.
The story is about the purchase of new US Abrams tanks, the supporting "commercial" is about selling used British Chieftains & Abbots - the only way that makes any sense is by hanging on the public's perceived ignorance.

Besides, don't you think it might have been a tad difficult to call up the US Army & get their Ok to borrow a few new Abrams for for a satirical commercial?

No, I didn't miss the point about having too many tanks, just thought their tank recognition skills need work.
Don't know if you've noticed but there have been a couple of TV shows (the zombie one I can't recall the name of, with the Brit actor as the Sheriff) the last few years that feature chieftains done up as M1's, so they're available.
Yep, getting the genuine one's might be an issue.

The Daily Show is the best way to see how screwed up life can be back home.
