Default Lights

Hi I am trying to find some really bright lights to mount in my tank. white, L.E.D. would be great. as long as I can mount it in my tank on not on top. Want to keep the tank as low as possible. I can find Bright led's on a search but I am hesitant on how effective these would be, I have been told LED's can be brighter than standard filiment bulbs, unfortanatley I have no idea on what to look for in what makes a bulb brighter than the next. The light needs to be bright so I can use my wireless camera that is mounted on the Tank as well. Thanks everyone Anthony

White LED's are fairly bright and the high brightness white LED's are fairly standard and similar from one manufacturer to another so you can't go wrong there in your selection.

Something more to consider is the capability of the camera, is it capable for low light conditions? What is its motion resolution? Is it a cheap camera or a nice one? Does it have light level correction?

The camera quality will more determine good video than any external light source.

LED brightness is measured by mcd.

Decide on a size (5mm, 8mm) that you want and an mcd that is acceptable.

I got my cam as a complete package from Hobbytron. for 100$ I figured that would be ok to play around with. Its the 2.4 Ghz Color wireless cam. My tank is not a H.L. Just one of those R/C Airsoft tanks. Again 100$. RTR. This would be my first time adding a cam into anything RC. But not my first Time with RC. Iam sure the cam can pick stuff up in low lighting, but Extra Light wouldnt hurt any. If this all goes well I would like to do the night Vision cam, I live in the woods and I know that the cyotes are getting into things in the back yard
Have a bigger all weather Bot for that plan. The cam and Tank would be a low budget project. Just thought it would be neat to run my tank upstairs while iam down stairs in the R/C Den.
