Clubs run war games using imaginative and realistic battle scenarios. I have a Tamiya Gepard and I'm not sure how to fit it into a scenario. Is it a light, medium or heavy tank (Tamiya TBU settings)? Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!

Id call it a light tank at best. It has no real anti tank capabilities on it and would be more cannon fodder on a battlefield than anything else. You could always run it outside the battle scenario though. There arent that many Gepards running in 1/16 and its always a treat to see one roll.

Dont sell light tanks short. In practice last weekend we were running 2 on 1's I was using my TBU equiped Walker (light tank) going against 2 heavies(A jumbo sherman and a KT) and while I never won I put 6 or 7 hits on them. Key is to use speed to out manuver them and fight on ground of your choosing. Never let them box you in.

I doubt the Gepards twin 35mm cannons would dent most modern armor. Thats what i meant by "at best". it really isnt a battle tank. its just a anti aircraft system that is employed on a Leopard 1 chassis so it can keep up with the AFV formations in rough terrain and provide air cover. It was never intended for it to go up against other AFVs.
