RE: Anyone from Toronto
I love it. Now just add the letters P.O.R.K. to it and we have a club emblem.
And perhaps we should move the Ontario club name discussion to the other thread?

RE: Anyone from Toronto
I think this is the right thread. The original intention was to see who around TO is interested in RC tanks. The "around TO" is now "in Ontario". I'm just not too sure how we would start the club and how we would set its mandate and membership criteria. Maybe something informal to start and thenformalize it once we have a chance to discuss these things as a group.

RE: Anyone from Toronto
Maybe we should just ask people on this thread what they are looking for in a club.
Myself, I want to RC battle and see what everyone else is building.
Are people willing to drive 1 to 2 hours for a club meeting? If so, then we are looking at a Southern Ontario club.

Ideally, a club with cheap membership dues (if any), 1/16 scale, no restrictions on radio types (2.4Ghz), operation in a non-public place.
I am building up a Tamiya Leopard 1 that will have a CO2 powered gun. I'm not crazy about the IR stuff, would enjoy actually shooting something. So that would mean the battle ground would have to be somewhere people ain't (Safety First).
I also have a Tamiya/HL Tiger in construction, but Leopard is priority.
Just my 2 cents,
Don

RE: Anyone from Toronto
It should be a club that is open to anyone who is interested in the RC armour world (any size) We all have something to share. It would be great to do battle (IR or otherwise) That's why informal meetings first to get an idea of the level of interest and to see where we'd like this club to go
