I was happily pursuing the thought of doing a "Normandy" campaign with my 1/16 tanks --- The Panzer III from Mato arrived today!!
Unfortunately, not to be outdone, my wife has bought herself a T34/85 (see post requesting "translation"), (Until I can get a King Tiger I seem to be at a disadvantage.) So I suppose this only leaves me the Eastern Front to battle on......
I am NOT turning my PzIII into a StuG !!! So that's where the situation sits for now.......
I notice that in HL's "Manual" for the Mark III they make a point of telling you not to run your tank on the following:
--Grass/Lawn
--Dirt
--Sand
--Asphalt
--Carpet
OR, in "Dusty Environments". So --where exactly DO you guys run these things???? (Yes I did get the Metal Tracks and Wheel upgrade kit with it.) Is this just a CYA move on the Manufacturere's part?
They also say don't run this tank over any rough ground or "bumps". Sheesh -- I ran over all these surfaces with my 21stC Mark IV.
D'oh.....

I can only figure its a poor translation into english, what they meant to say was "to be driven into the ground, ripped apart, fixed, rinse and repeat"

I think I have lost my warranty a long ago.
However, the Panzer III is the most sensible to dust and sand because it has some very large 'dirt intakes' on the hull (the rear one over the smoke exhausts is a problem).
If you plan to run it outside (as it should), first close those holes with foam or whatever.
