I got my Pz III yesterday, broke in the gears, switched around the turret side hatches, played with it, now its time to break it down for some customizing.[>:]

I'm gonna ditch the smoker, move the speaker, and add a fan for starters.

Are you going to keep the airsoft of retro it for IR. I was trying my KT last night. I've modified by airsoft gun/barrel. I was shooting in the basement (45-50 ft) with minimal drop in the 0.20g bb. These 88's had a vert flat trajectory. Looking forward to trying paintballs.

I played around with the panzer's airsoft gun outside today. Fun, but I want to IR battle, so I am going to replace the barrel.

once you figure out how to install the IR battle system maybe you can show me. I wouldn't know where to start.

Hey, I know this is off topic of what you guys are talking about, but I need to know something about the Club. When we battle, or whatever we will do, what are we going to use as weapons? I need to know before I go and buy the wrong thing. Thanks.

The club does not all have to do all about tank battles. We should be looking at sharing information (lessons learned, etc) Maybe some workshops on how to modify your tank. (upgrade to HL smoke and sound, tamiya IR sysytems, airsoft gun modification etc). To be honest, I'm more of an airsoft person so tank battles using paintballs, or possibly competitions with tanks in an obsitcale course shooting fixed of even moving targets etc. (That way everyone could participate who has an airsoft tank- big or small)

Again, off-topic, but where would I be able to buy one of these systems?

well most likely airsoft, seeing as that is what we would most likely use. Also, Have I heard correctly that you can put paintball balls in an airsoft gun?

yes you can. and if your gun is powerful enough, they work great. When our club meets I'd like to do a demo on what I've worked out with the airsoft guns and paintballs. Maybe it will make people to reconsider tank battles

when the club meets, I'll bring one for you. I'll show you how to use it and probably give you some insight on how to best fit it in your tank.

IR Systems for Henglong boards are available form different sources. I am going to use "Dave's Battle Circuit" which will soon be available from here: [link]http://www.arachnidcreations.com/rctankwars/battlecircuits.html[/link] Cost is $60 unassembled (I'll build it for free for club members).

I'll try and have one assembled by the time we meet. For Airsoft Battles, I may be depending on using another members spare tank. Thomas's airsoft upgrades sound deadly.
