With the forecasted rain, will the battle weekend be rescheduled?

M1A2 Commander 09-19-2013 05:04 PM

No, it’s just too big of an event to reschedule. Friday looks like rain all day; Saturday is about a 40% chance of rain and would be the best day to come out. But Sunday is looking pretty sunny with no rain in the forecast and some members may be staying Sunday including me to get in some good tank battles.

Will try to post more Friday and Saturday night if I can with updates.

Hey Guys, just wanted to give you guys an update on weather. For the most part it rained most of the day today resulting in only about 30 minutes of battles. But between the rain storms we did get to see some great RC planes fly today. So it wasn’t a total loss.
Tomorrow is looking the same but we will be at the battlefield just in case if the weather turns for the better. I will try to give everyone an update again tomorrow if we will be staying into Sunday. God know we need the rain but why this weekend!!!!!!

M1A2 Commander 09-21-2013 06:13 AM

Weather Update: As it looks now, there is a 20 or 30% chance of rain today. Local radio shows no rain in the area with overcast. So it looks like we will be battling today after all. So if anybody was thinking of coming to battle with us today or just to check out the activities. Come on down!

Will do another post later on this evening on what we will be doing on Sunday.

I sure hope you guys have great weather today! It would be a shame to pass up a scheduled battle.

Sure wish I was closer! Have fun guys and remember...

... give us plenty of pictures!

Battle Update: Well it turned out to be a great day for RC tank battling and for seeing some great RC planes fly. Not one drop of rain fell today and I don’t think it got over 80 degrees either. So over all it was an awesome and fun day for our club and everyone that came to watch.

Sunday: A few of our club members including me will be at our battlefield getting in a few more battles before we head home. We will be shows up around 10am tomorrow if anybody wants to come join us. I’m sure there will still be some nice planes flying also. Thanks to everyone that came out to support our club today!
