RE: weatronic 2.4 Dual FHSS RC systems launched
Is it possible to get more pictures of the Futaba radio with module intsalled? Would like to see back of radio. Is the radio set to PPM with the use of your system?
Thanks |

RE: weatronic 2.4 Dual FHSS RC systems launched
Any pics of how this will work for a JR 10x? and 12X?
Thanks Dave |
RE: weatronic 2.4 Dual FHSS RC systems launched
I was at Jetpower. I understood it will work with any radio, as it just need a PPM stream.
The only difference is the plastic connector/stand for each radio may be different. |
RE: weatronic 2.4 Dual FHSS RC systems launched
I believe that this works ok, but why is it so ugly ?
I don't wanna have some box in front of my transmitter. |
RE: weatronic 2.4 Dual FHSS RC systems launched
Hello
Any news of the launching date of the Weatronic 2.4 ? Still nothing on january. Thanks Jean-Philippe :D |
RE: weatronic 2.4 Dual FHSS RC systems launched
Who cares what it looks like? If people notice it on you transmitter (not looking at your plane) maybe you should spend more time at home on the simulator.
If it's the best link between you and your plane, don't question the little things. |

Just a basic question, but am I correct in assuming that my Futaba FASST 12FG 2.4Ghx will work with the Weatronics Rx with the existing Futaba 2.4Ghz module?

From the manual:
Modulation The following types of modulations are available: n PPM in 3 versions (MPX, UNI, PPM12). These are differing among each other by a different neutral position of the servos. If you select an inappropriate version, then the center position of all servos is changing, and not the entire stick travel will be transmitted to the servos. n Futaba PCM 1024 n Graupner (JR) SPCM 1024 Select the type of modulation desired or which corresponds to your transmitter respectively (can be read in the transmitter manual). Channel: though you can choose the channel out of a list manually it is absolutely necessary to scan the transmitter being used. Because the Dual Receiver needs informations from the individual transmitter which it receives during the scan process. The automatic transmitter finding functions as follows: n Place switched on transmitter besides the Dual Receiver. n Connect control board with the broad band cable to the Dual Receiver. n Plug jumper with the white label - marked Scan - into the three-pin socket at the control board. Now,the transmitter finding begins. At first, the yellow LED at the Dual Receiver is blinking in a slow mode. The frequency band (depending on the type of the Dual Receiver, the 35/36 MHz or the 72 MHz band) will now be searched. The Dual Receiver selects the signals with the highest field strength. These signals are emitted by the transmitter which is located next to the device. After a few seconds, the transmitter was found and a precise fine tuning is executed. This is displayed by a hectic blinking mode of the yellow LED. During this phase the transmitter should not be moved at all. The yellow LED stops blinking as soon as the fine tuning process has been completed. The Dual Receiver has now been set to your transmitter, and you can remove the jumper again. Nowhere does it mention plugging in a Tx module, admittedly this is the 35Mhz manual as I don't seem able to find a 2.4Ghz one. Mike |

Well its now February and I still have not got an answer to my question, if this is the sort of back up you get with Weatronic's I may as well have stayed with the XPS, [:'(] not impressed.

Picture of TX-Module for Futaba radio is post # 2. See this link http://www.weatronic.com/cms/index.p...d=67&Itemid=97 Futaba or JR for that matter, 2.4 modules won't work with Weatronics 2.4 system.

RE: weatronic 2.4 Dual FHSS RC systems launched
I know there is a picture on post No 2, its a shame that Weatronics have just not bothered to check their support site and answered my question, with due respect felker14 as you are not an employee of Weatronics I will take answer as being not confirmed
As it has now been so long to try and get an answer to this very simple question I definatly will not be going this route, customer service is absolutly essential in these crunch times and if Weatronics can not service their own support forum then I don't hold out much hope for the equipment ever getting serviced if needed. Dear Mike,
we have developed an own transmission protocol which is not compatible with Futaba FASST. We do not know the Futaba protocol and it is unpossible to decrypt it. You need the weatronic 2.4 Dual FHSS transmitter module. Dear Felker, we will publish pictures of the Futaba transmitter conversion on our website next week. weatronic GmbH Managing Director Rolf Alexander Westphal Seidenstr. 57 D-70174 Stuttgart www.weatronic.com [email protected] Tel: +49/711/253 9274 Fax: +49/711/870 30 994 |

when available, your new system 2.4 Ghz? in Spain nobody gives us a possible date for delivery.
It is available the user manual of the new 2.4 system. Thank you |

Nobody is there?
Where are the weatronic people? |

I put the first five flights on my 2.6m YAK this past Sunday for the first time on the new system, five perfect flights. Did the range check out to 120 paces at 1mW with no issues. The telemetry after the flight showed no FS frames and everything within Weatronic recommended flight parameters.
Running a jr10x and 10ch micro RX
I'm very happy and glad I waited.
|
