I get those tailwheels from my Chineses builder. They are pretty nice. Not as light as some but very rugged and easy to install, excellent quality.

BTW for those needing an engine I have Evolution 45s and 58s in stock. The 45 is almost identical to the DA-50 in specs, excellent little engine.

No they are not in yet. The ship is due to dock on Friday, then maybe 10 days to get to Dallas, maybe more.

Tom,ive got a couple of weeks to spare anyway,i just wondering if this plane is going to be right for me.I like the stability of my wh edge540 and how it lands, not sure if the yak flies anything like the edge.

Having flown a bulk of the flights to date on the prototype Yaks (and a bunch on the Edge) I can safely say you will not be disappointed. The plane lands very slowly and once settled into the 'groove' on final descent the Yak holds a stable, wings level descent to touchdown. Nothing challenging, as will all the WH planes. Low rates on the prototypes were set up for smooth aerobatics. Max elevator deflection on low rates would not induce a accelerated stall. Landings are slow and in a 3-point flare the stick could be pulled back to the stops with no indication of wing drop or impending stall. Wheel landings are also a breeze with the long landing gear - no fear of a prop strike.

How is your Wildhare Yak doing? Anyone have any idea how a Moki 2.10 would do in this plane? Would it hoover and pull out vertical?

I flew one with an OS 1.60 that will just about do what you want, so I would guess the big Moki will be spectacular.
