Canister in Edge540 V2
Hey Tom,
I have a question, I have finally started to tackel the canister in the Edge 540 V2. After attaching the header on it the engine it sure looks like I will have to cut into the back of the canister tunnel to get it to fit. It looks like the actaul exhaust tube will come out under the servo tray.
Has anyone else here built the Edge with a rear exhaust canister??
Thanks
John

You can shorten the header a bit, leave at least 1" straight section to make the connection.
I can also swap out that muffler for a TD75K, which is much shorter and front outlet. THat might be your best solution.

RE: Canister in Edge540 V2
John,
I have the same setup on mine. I've given it some thought and decided that I like a little airflow going through that compartment and out the back, keeping it from heating up so much. I haven't completed getting it set up on the engine yet, I've been moving to Texas from Maine, which kinda blew my building time for a while. I finally got the Edge down here in the most recent (but far from the last) load, but I have to set up a workshop in the garage so I have room to do the work. I had thought that I'd ordered the TD75K but I guess I muffed that up. When this rear-exhaust version showed up and I had a chance to look it over I came to the conclusion that I had lucked out and that this would be a better setup for my purposes. I'll let you know how that goes. I have to finish up my building thread anyway, which also was interrupted in the move.
