Default Baby Edge Saito 180 Combo

I have a NIB Saito 180 and have been looking for something to use it in. I really like the looks of the "Baby" Edge 540. Wildhare website suggest a 125 Four Stroke for the plane. Is the 180 too much engine for this plane? I like lots of power but I do not want to go so far overboard that I could damage the aircraft. Tell me what you think...........................

Talk with Tom at Wild Hare, he can tell ya. I have a OS 1.60 in mine and it has more than enough power for me. Do a side by side comparason of the engines here on RCU and see what you come up with. From what I see you may be a little uderpowered.

I would already have the Satio half way installed by now. I have one in a 12 pound plane and it runs like a clock but I wish the plane was a little lighter..... Bill

I think that a Saito 180 is too much. I had a 125 and it had all the power that you could want. With a 16x4 apc plenty.

I e-mailed the same question to Wild Hare and Tom responded the sameday and advised that the 180 would be too much engine for the plane. I remembered that I have a YS 110. I am going to give it a try. I have listed the 180 on RCU for sale if anyone needs one. Thanks for the input.
