RE: Hey Tom ?
Tom and Patty are moving to a new residence. We will be packing and moving this week (we got only 10 days notice) so after today, 1/10, we will not be shipping and we won't be available by telephone. If you need to contact us please leave a message or you can email. We'll respond to urgent messages asap, other inquiries will need to wait until the 21st at the earliest. Anything that can wait until after the 20th, please do so. TF |
RE: Hey Tom ?
We have one white/red G202 in stock. I'm getting a few more with the EX 260 shipment, late Feb.
BTW I'm working on creating a new sport/aereobatic plane derived from the Giles called the G-Sport! This will be a G202 fuse with different wings and elevators. The wings will have the new airfoil that we've been using and will be almost like an Edge, with a 1 degree sweep on the leading edge, forward sweep on the trailing edge, and larger ailerons. They will also be a little shorter (90" span vs. 93") and more chord, which will give the same wing area but a faster roll rate. Elevators will be larger and held tighter to the fuse for better low speed authority. It won't be a scale model of any real plane, but should be quite good looking and be a dynamite 3d plane for the 75cc size engines, still strong enough for a 100. The wings are on the way for testing, if all goes well it will be in production in a month or so. Expect shipments early May. TF TF |

Thanks Tom.

Tom
Would any of the new G-Sport components be directly transferable to the existing 202? It would be interesting to see the differences in the elevators and wing plans. Pat |
RE: Hey Tom ?
Hi Tom
Please reserve the Giles kit for me and can you ship the 35% giles to me in Scotland, Iain Nicol |

RE: Hey Tom ?
Yes, the G-sport wings and elevators should transfer to a Giles fuse.
The Giles is such a nice plane and it's a good size, easy to transport and uses an economical engine, but I've been fighting the incorrect attitude from people who believe the Giles wing is real snappy. I don't know how this idea got started but I get this all the time "I like the looks but I hear Giles' are hard to land because they snap so easily". So here's an answer, change the wings to be a G-sport. It should fly like a low wing Edge but without the tendency to wander. It's gonna be very cool I believe. TF |
RE: Hey Tom ?
Tom, with all due respect to those that errroneously believe a large Giles is snappy, there is just no way that your 35% G-202 can have any tendency to snap if the weigtht and balance are anywhere near close to where they should be.
Your plane has a substantially increased wing root area from true scale, and the leading edge is much too round to promote a super fast stall break These two items alone promote slow speed stability and will delay the onset of a stall until the flyer commands it. This is a good thing. One thing though, you know someone will slip and call the new version a G-Spot. |
RE: Hey Tom ?
Exactly correct, it's not the least bit snappy, but try to convince people who have not flown it!
G-spot. Hmmm. I guess some people might make that mistake. Sure glad I didn't. TF |

Hi Tom !
What's the price of a FG Edge 540t landing gear ?!? And do you have any Edge in stock? Thx Julien |
