Hi guys !

I just installed my rudder servo and wondering how you do the pull-pull systeme....I got the
4-40 "rods" end and 8 little metal tubes and the cable...what do I do now?!?!

Once you get everything square you crimp. (squeeze) the metal tubes closed onto the wire.

Cut the long cable into two equal lengths. On one end of both wires add the rod end as you hve done in your picture. Try to crimp each tube twice, once on each end in opposite directions. Make those crimps very tight. The heat shrink only adds looks and weight, nothing more. Attach the cables at the servo end after running them through the fuse. Install the clevisis and rod ends on the rudder horns without the wires. While maintaining the neutral position of the servo by having the radio turned on with the travels and sub trims centered, run the cables through the rod ends at the rudder horns. Be sure that the rudder is centered also. I like to use a couple of long sticks or arrow shafts, rubber banded together on both ends, with the rudder between them for this purpose. Try to get them pretty tight, but not tight enough to sound like a high pitched guitar string. Medium to high bass string will do. Crimp the tubes like you did on the servo ends and then adjust as needed. Don't forget to leave yourself a little adjusting room on the threaded ends when you assemble the wires.

There's prolly another hunderd ways to do it, but that's how I get it done.

This is what I do I use Kev-cord .038 dia. about 150 lb. test, does not stretch slip it thru connecter tie a knot a little CA for insurance and put on what ever end you like ball link etc.
Airwild has them on there web site I bought mine from acp sales at the WRAM show two years ago, works great.

A second vote for the Air Wild cable connectors, along with the SWB cable adjusters.

I used the stock hardware and made a loop with the excess and crimped it twice..

try to make the loop smaller so it will not allow for slippage, just my two cents worth

Just a question flier, but what is the reason for bolting one ball link to the top of the servo arm on one side, and bolting it to the bottom on the other side. Im just curious. Oh and I do all my steel cables just like scotts, except I make a smaller loop with the excess. Never had a problem. Ive only used Kevlar once, but if I do it again, I will most definately go with the Airwild stuff.

The pull - pull on my setup has the wires crossed.
The wires are mounted with one on top of the servo arm and the other to the bottom.
This was done to incressed the clearance between the wires.

Okey Doky. Makes perfect sense. I am crossing my pull pull wires but I didnt do that. I will go back and check on that. Thanks.

Here are mine!!! I used the tubes and crimp them o nthe cables I used 2 on each cables!!!
