After some experimenting I got rid 98% of my wing rock..the other 2% is pilot error:)

Basically I added 1/4 oz to the left wing tip to balance laterally..I also added tailweight 1/4 oz at a time and wound up with 1 1/4oz on the tail in the end..I originally balanced at 4/34 but havent checked it since adding the weight..Landings are still easy and the extra tailweight didnt affect it at all..I also programmed abut 15 deg of spoileron..the result is awesome! Its a different plane..parachutes are awesome! the tail just snaps down and doesnt move..elevators instead of descending on a 45 deg angle now drop almost straight down..and fast!!
I havent had a chance to work on my harriers but I did try a few and it locked right in...Also knife edge is much better as well..
just thought Id post this in case anyone is having wing rock issues

Mine was very stable as well after messing with lateral balance!!

Thats what I was thinking,, my Eflite Tribute got ate up by some powerlines yesterday morning,:(

How did you add the weight to the wingtip?

to flight test i tape lead to the wing with colored electric tape

when satisfied you can cut open the tip and clue the weight in and replace the chunk you opened for better looks

i end up just leaving the lead taped to the end of the wing for ever

I drilled a hole in the wingtip with bit the same diameter as the weight that I used(I used 3/8" brass rod). Then just gorrilla glue it in. When it dries, just put a patch of Ultracote on it and you cant even tell it's there. BTW it made a world of difference on my Extra Special. Before adding the weight, it would fall to the right every time that i popped it up. Now its dead straight.

So, everybody talks about laterally balancing a plane but nobody talks about how to do it. Just pick it up by the spinner and tail or what?

I tacked a piece of hardwood across the fuse right behind the first former in a way that it fit into the holes in the plywood sides. I then marked the center and tied a string around that and tied the other end around the wingtube and the former that it's glued to, also in the center. Then I hung it from my engine hoist and placed a level across the fuse (The canopy was off) I placed the weight on the light wingtip and removed a little at a time until it sat level.

Brian, I keep reading this and thinking about it and I can't quite get a grip on what your describing. I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed so pictures might help. Thanks,

Sorry, looking back at the post it cornfuses me! I cant figure out how to post pics yet but, basically just find something in the fuse to hang it by, place a level spanwise across the top of the fuse and add weight until level. I have never bothered to balance an airplane lateraly , but it made such a difference that I will do it on every one from now on.

It's stating to make sense now. Where you said hard wood, i'm assuming you were referring to a dowel of so sort. My plane has a couple of clicks of aileron trim in it, maybe that's why my harriers suck. It rocks like it's it sea.

I have the EXTRA SPECIAL,,Mine rocks bad too, I even have 50% and have tried 100% of spoilerons programmed in and it still rocks crazy,,,, will a plane being to nose heavy cause a harrier to be unstable also, and what just my CG be from the wing tips on the EXTRA SPECIAL for all out 3d,,,, I have a ZDZ 60 on it,,,,

CG., Lateral Balance, Elevator & Spoilerons are all very important but dont over look the THROTTLE.

Play with the THROTTLE til you get the nose up to the right angle and hopefully it will lock in, from there it just takes a small amount of rudder to go where you want.
