New Extra 260
 

Well here is my replacement plane finally. I had a lot of builds this month and I had to put my plane last. The setup is identical to my first Extra 260 with a few changes:

1. Slightly new scheme on the 260
2. Scale Dash Panel
3. Fiberglass landing gear
4. Troy Built Models 4-cell Li Ion (square pack) 5600 mah

The overall setup:

TX: JR 9303 (yes I switched to all JR) with synth module
RX: 649

WH 260
DA 100 with slimline mufflers (found a set on here for cheap so why not)
NX 27x10 (break in)
4" CF Spinner
CF Wing Tube
2x 2800 mah Troy Buit Models Lions
1x 5600 mah Troy Built Models Lion
2x 20amp MPI Adjustable Power Regulators (read about my first plane and you will know why)
HS 5245 on throttle
4x HS 5945 Ailerons
2x HS 5945 Elevators
2x HS 5925 Rudder

WH Fiberglass landing gear
4" Kavan Tires

Airwild 1.25" Arms on Elevators and Rudder


Fwiw I get sponsorship prices on hobby stuff through SouthEastRC.com - but I think next time I will just get the hardware package. All the odds and ends probably cost the same amount.

Once again thanks to Tom for supporting folks in the military (even those recently in the reserves), Troy Built Models for the lightweight goodies, and also Tony Russo for his build tricks. I used a lot of his ideas on this plane, which I built myself.

This is my 3rd Wild Hare plane and I could not be more satisfied with the quality and value. My next plane is going to be another 260, but the Wagstaff Scheme.
