Could be your engine thrust angle.

Mike, just out of curiosity, what exactly did you change? This info could be useful to others in the future.

I changed to nylon clevises on the engine end of the push rods, changed throttle servo, added voltage regulator to reciever, and did away with extension, moved the matchbox as far away from all electronics as i could, also moved the ignition and battery to the outside of the motor box instead of inside.

Mike Engine torque has a stronger effect when you pitch the nose up with elevator, and the airplane wants to pull to the left. I myself am learning to deal with this by applying some right rudder, which causes the plane to hold a straight vertical line. Others will mix in some right rudder to advanced throttle positions, as you use more throttle when going vertical. Try one or the other or both... you'll be glad you did..:) Gerald |
