Control horn problems

I am putting together my new 300 special and I've discovered one of the pre-drilled holes for the aileron control horns was drilled at an angle. The result is the screw on connector to the pushrod is about .165" shorter than the other aileron and the horn & connector are at an angle pointing down towards the wing. The pushrod assembly is not in a straight line like the other wing, kind of looks like a kink in the system.
1. Has anyone else had this problem
2. Is this worth worring about
3. If I need to fix it what would be the best way

I had the same problem with several of my holes on the control surfaces. I smeared gorilla glue in the holes and shoved a dowel inside. Once the glue cured, I re-drilled the holes to my liking. I would recommend doing this to yours as well.

RE: Control horn problems

Had the same problem with 2 different 300LX's. I used a dow with epoxy to fill the holes. But even using a drill press, I could not get the holes on the left and right sides exactly the same angle. The rudder was also difficult to align for drilling.
Hope another reader can suggest a method for drilling and accurately aligning the control horn holes.

RE: Control horn problems

I am currently putting together a 33% 260 and have the same problem, the angles on the one wing are the same and both point towards the wing tip...I'm wondering if I should just leave it the way it is.
