Wild Hare 84" Extra?

Will a Zenoah G45 be enough engine to fly the
Wild Hare 84" Extra or Edge?I know a G62 would be better
but I already have a G45 stock ignition with a pitts style muffler.
Or would a GP Wagstaff Extra be a better choice?

RE: Wild Hare 84" Extra?

To be honest there is no best choice. Our new 84" Extra 300 is probably going to be the closest you will get.

The G45 is under-powered and over-weight compared to other similar size engines. The best you can hope for is a plane with a lot of wing area and very light weight. The 84" Edge will fly OK for sport flying but vertical will be limited.

RE: Wild Hare 84" Extra?

Last year I was flying the 300 Extra 28% with a 45cc Homelite motor. It was ok but vert, up lines were limited. Now it is flying with a 55cc craftsman saw motor . Big difference in performance, unlimited vert, for only for $60.00 on ebay:D
