Servo mounting

Hey all, started on a WH 50cc Sukhoi today and was wondering about the throttle and choke servo mounting for the 3MM TOC53. Anyone have any pics of their install? Was thinking of mounting them in the tank tray with the tank off to the side. BTW, my son has two bunny's, thinking about doing a profile "Bunny" pilot for the cockpit. He thinks the bunny with the tx in his paws is great!

RE: Servo mounting

I mounted the choke servo on the motor box side and the throttle servo on the fuse side just ahead of the wing tube (there is an opening there. Think I had to add a little support for 1 end.

There are some pictures on the Sukhoi build thread that show this... think they are realitive close to the front of the thread.

The pictures you want are Post 31 - Page 2 and Post 752 - Page 31. Note for the throttle servo, I mounted this on the other side as that was where the carb was - I also have my carb rotated 180 but this does not change the servo positions.

If you don't find them, will see if I have any pictures (know I have the choke mount picture, but not sure of the throttle.

Using the 3mm 53, the throttle servo is easiest to position up front somewhere, mostly due to the high placement of the carb linkage.. The location will be determined on whether or not you use a mechanical or servo operated choke.

This is what we did on mine only have throttle servo cowl is huge so no choke needed ..

I advise you to rotate the carb/reed block 180 degrees so that with an inverted engine the control arms are on top.

You may as well do it now so you don't need to change the throttle linkage later.

Thanks for all the quick replies. I saw the photos but passed over the one with the choke servo mounted (brain fart). I rotated the carb and reed block already. Looking forward to getting it in the air.
