Default Piston / Sleeve Clearance

petec;

What should the piston to cylinder clearance be on small YS engines ? I have pistons that are 0.004" smaller in diameter than the sleeve which gives a whole lot of piston slap (cold). Put a new ring in and the engine didn't run worth a crap.

Thank You;
