I was given a YS 140L, and a serviceable pattern air-frame to mount it on. I was told the engine will idle, but will not throttle up. When I asked what was wrong, the original owner told me he might have put the throttle barrel in backwards when he was working on it. He didn't tell me what he was doing, but before i open this thing up, is it even possible to put the throttle barrel in backwards? All of them I have seen (mostly OS Surpass) have a screw slot to limit travel, which would make putting them in backwards next to impossible.
I guess I can still send this motor in for work if need be, but wanted to check here first.

YS engines do not have a round barrel the same as most other glow engines. It does have more of a butterfly type throttle plate. I suppose it could be installed 180 degrees out. The best thing to do with any used YS engine is to take apart the carb and regulator assemblies and rebuild them. YS engines tune a bit different then other 4 strokes. You always want to run them a bit prior to making any adjustments to allow time to get up to full tank pressure.
