Default who makes this cool power 30% heli fuel

Hi again, who makes the cool power 30% heli fuel, and do you recon I can get it here in the UK. Only prob is, the UK representative for YS in the UK does not encourage the use of any other fuel except the MT yamada mix.

Is cool power really that good !!!.

I'd like to be able to use my Mejzlic 16 x 11 three blade but on MT 20% it's only making 6500rpm. would a change to CP 30% heli improve this figure. if not I'll just stick to my trusty 17 x 8 apc.

Cool Power is made by Morgan Fuels.

I don't what engine you are running but it is very obvious that you have way too much prop on it. The YS 170DZ might haul that prop on the 30% nitro but anything smaller is not going to turn that prop well enough. The difference between 20% nitro and 30% nitro is about 300-400rpm on the very best of circumstances. Usually the difference in RPM is less than 400.

So from your numbers my guess is you have a 140 or maybe even a 120. In which case that prop you are trying to use is way to large.

hi troy. I've only tried that 16 x11, 3 blade out on the ground, and, only for a short run, the motor did not like it, so being sympathetic to the motor and not risking any damage I shut it down and reverted rather quickly back to the 17" two blade apc.

I'm running the 140 sport at the moment, the 3 blade is carbon and looks cool so it's a shame the motor is not happy on it, oh well, anyone want to buy a cool carbon 3 blade with tru turn 2 1/2" spinner.

Well the 140 Sport will struggle with a 16-11 2 blade blade on that 20% nitro. You need to reduce 2 inches in pitch or diameter for a 3 Blade and probably 4 inches of of pitch and or diameter for the 3 blade

Example. If you run a 17-12 prop....on a given engine Not the 140 Sport by the way. You would drop to at least a 15-12 3 blade and probably more like a 15-11 or 15-10 3 blade prop. Then on a 4 blade prop....We are running the 18.1-12 on the 170DZ...We are turning a 15-13 3 blade or a 15.5-12 4 blade on that same engine.

I would suspect for a 3 blade on the 140 Sport you need to be around a 13-12 maybe a 14-11 might work. But a 16-11 3 blade is even too much prop for a 170DZ...I tried it....its a bit too highly loaded.

You need to hit 8400-8800rpm. A prop and fuel combo that hits that RPM will make the engine perform at its best.
