Default HS needle adjustment

Hi Troy I have aYS 160DZ mounted inverted on a Goldberg Obsession. The problem is that when I run the engine up to high rpm and try to adjust the high speed needle there seems to be little or no change to the way the engine runs. Any ideas.
Thanks!
Edward

Default RE: HS needle adjustment

This "flat spot" in the High speed needle on the DZ style engines is normal. If you continue to lean or richen the HS needle outside of the "flat Spot" the engine will lean out or richen up.

The proper way to set the HS needle is to slowly a click at a time lean the engine down to find a peak rpm then back it off 200-300rpm from that peak. USE a Tach. Each click of change can take a few seconds to have an affect.

What you are seeing is normal
