Yes there is a baffle...

removing it however will require you to change your mixture settings.

It's Troy's forum and HE is the expert_____not me.

However, you also asked____"is that going to add extra power ? "

The answer to that is 'maybe yes, maybe no!'
If you did happen to pick up some power, I doubt that you will be able to measure it. Four strokes are not nearly as sensitive to exhaust changes as are two strokes.
Conversely it is "possible" to loose some power too____not often but it 'can' happen.

I'd hate to have the task of quantifying either case.

Neither the potential gain/loss is worth the trouble IMO (and removing the baffle is quite easy).

I agree not really any power loss or gain. That waspy guys is pretty smart and knows his stuff.

What does happen is you will change back pressure on the engine. Remove the muffler or the restriction and the engine will tend to go way rich.

Conversely add restriction and the engine will all of a sudden be too lean.

The noise generated without the baffle is pretty high. Some guys like the noise and some neighbors don't. Personally I like the sound of the YS eatin' without a muffler on a Warbird of something similar. It's pretty cool and adds to the fun. Yes if you are in a noise conscious club you won't want to do that.

As far as the engine its not going to care much either way...new mixture settings and you will be all setup.
