Default 3 Blade Prop??

Ok, so i purchased my first YS, its an older FA120. It idles great and has plenty of power, i would like to run a 3 blade prop but the only recommend sizes i've found are for 2 blade. Does anybody out there know what would be a safe size to run? Thanks Dave.

Default RE: 3 Blade Prop??

A rule of thumb when going from a 2 blade prop to a 3 blade is to go one inch lower on either the diameter or the pitch. So if you want to replace a 15x8 2-blade prop with a 3-blade, try either a 15x6 or a 14x8. This isn't exact, but it'll get you close.
