YS115

So, any of you guys splashed out yet?
My trusty 110 is my favourite (if expensive to run mota) and in my qqyak 69 with 16X4w
gives near ballistic performance.
Bear in mind here in the UK we 'like to pay Tax' so your $395 cost is £395 here (ie $633)
%30 glow is £26 ($41.60) a gallon and I got through about 30 bucks worth yesterday....
Anyway enough of my hard luck story, is it appreciably better?
Cheers John

As with all comparisons of cost versus value, I like to have a more complete picture. What percentage of your income does the cost of your hobby consume? What are your taxes as a percentage of your income? Considering your medicals are paid for, what net monies are available to you for funding your hobbies? In other words, what is the real cost of your flying? I am sure no one cares, but since you brought it up....

I was once told to get a hobby I could afford, I have not found one yet, but I continue searching and trying to find ways to reduce my hobby costs. I am switching to gasoline, running in conversion engines, versus glow and limiting my plane costs by rebuilding rather than buying new ARFs. Many at my field crash and just buy a new plane with a new high end engine. And then complain about how much it is costing them.

Sincerely, Richard

You don't say which (110 or 110s) you have....Anyway, I have both & also two 115's....There is NO comparison, the 115 runs stronger (to be expected, it is larger),& is very "User/friendly"....If you can afford to purchase & operate the 115, then IMHO I can't imagine how you would be disappointed.....FWIW

Cheers Guys
Forget the whine I just thought I'd give you guys a laugh and let you know how comparatively lucky you
are. :D
Thanks Tande. It's the 110s and a great bit of kit.
If there was a 'criticism' it would be it's complexity but
now I know 'how', it runs like a top.
When you say the 115 is bigger I take it you mean capacity
not physical size?
As you know too much is never enough so although I'm very happy with the 110
in my Yak, I thought perhaps if there was a big difference I'd make the leap.
