YS engine service Australia
Hi Everyone,
wondering where I can get my YS110FZ-S and YS115S serviced in Australia? It used to be through Tate’s, but they have stopped doing the servicing now, and I’ve lost the contact of the guy they were sending them too for service, thankyou! Brendan |
Everyone I know who runs them fixes them. Parts from Yamada, RC Japan, Morris Hobby and others. Given OZ costs, paying commercial rate to repair would be uneconomic. Basic service would be replacing bearings so an approach could be strip the motor and take the crankcase to someone who has shown the ability to do this - no particular YS knowledge required. If you decide to go this way REMEMBER cam out before crankshaft - crankshaft in before cam. If the chrome in the cylinder is scored or peeling this cannot be finessed - replace.

The 110s has a chrome on aluminium cylinder same as the 115s (unless the RAM between my ears has completely blown).
In a fairly active year with the 115 would expect to replace the cylinder. |
