YS 45 Regulator - same care as 63?

Dave -
I've been following the YS63 regulator thread. I have a YS45 that's not transitioning worth a darn. It quits on throttle-up following idle of more than about 8 seconds. I've adjusted the regulator slowly in both directions from flush, no help. I run an OS#8 plug, 15% nitro, 20% synth/castor oil. No leaks in the tanks, but a slight dribble of fuel leaks from the needle valve threads. It sat idle for about 6 months...

Does the care and feeding you discussed for the YS63 hold true for the 45 two-stroke as well? I plan on replacing all software. What else should I look for?

I would change all the o-rings, diaphragm, plunger and gaskets. The leaking needle is a problem that you need to fix with a new o-ring.

Did you oil the engine with a non-approved after run oil prior to storage?

No - never used an after-run oil. I bought it second hand "new", but no telling what the previous owner used.

I've emailed "ysperf" a couple of times - I'm hoping they can provide all the software.
