YS91

Hi Dave,

Getting back to you on some more findings on this engine.

first, I replaced the split filters with dubros as it appears one of the split filters was sucking air. Second, checked the valves and tdc and they were right on. This last saturday, I ran the plane on a table and it idle for almost half a tank no porblems and ran fine. I got out to the airfield and it would start fine but everytime I went to take off
it would blubber up and quit. ( group was teasing me about my exercise regiment to the end of the airfield. Then, i found that the needle valve was moving and so I fixed that. And was able to get airborne. However, on take off
the engine was still very rich and blubber a sec, but once in the air the plane seemed to run fine. ( was hard to tell because it was very windy). With everyting else checked the only possible items I need to confirm is checking the
ring and I saw a comment you made on another YS91 that stated" it is possible you are running to cool and suggested going to 30% nitro heli fuel. My motor is also inverted, and I was wondering if I had the same
issue possibly going on.
NOTE: on the comment you made on the other YS91 request, he was using the same prop, etc. etc. and
that is why I am bringing it up here.

Regards,

Wayne

Try pulling the plug element up about .030" out of the cavity with a #11 exacto blade. It will run hotter.
