YS 45 cleaning regulator

Hi Dave,
Following fuel filling the carb after stopping the engine I opened the regulator to clean it up ( plunger and spring ). After putting everything back into place (corectly ) I noticed that I could barley blow air into the fuel intake regardless of the throttle position. Is this normal or is there a problem?. The engine ran perfectly this weekend except for the fuel coming out of carb issue.

Thanks in advance
Brian

Hi Dave,
In continuation to the cleaning of the regulator and plunger of my YS 45 FS.
I went out to the field to reset the regulator - I found that the idle finally settled when the regulator is approx. 0.7mm out of the regulator body which is also about one whole turn ( out - counter clock wise ) from the previous position. The transition from idle to max is fine. Do you think I should reopen the reg. to check that all is fine or to leave it as is.

Thanks again for the patience and answers
Brian

If it isn't broke, don't fix it!
