ys 45 help please

picked up a old 45 , it was in pretty good shape, so i do the turn up thing with all new gaskets and stuff.........heres the problem.....yes it pumps fuel(tank does get plenty of good air) will start if i put fuel in carb, but will only run a few sec, as i see it its not getting any fuel from tank, the fule like is full but will not go in to carb, removed carb and all holes are free, out back on and still no fuel, also pushed a small amount of air in to fuel nip and still no air or fuel, also removed nid val to see if was a problem, that is all free.......when i replaced all the gaskets i do line up any and all holes they match, or iam i missing some thing...HELP

Should work unless something didn't get back together correctly. Sounds like you know what is going on.

Perhaps you should send it to service and let them play with it. If it was a 120 4 stroke then I would say you have the regulator installed backwards. On the 4 strokes they will bolt on either way and if its backwards it will do what you describe.

But since its a 45, I have no ideas

Sounds like the regulator gasket is in backwards or the gasket has swelled shut in the fuel passages. This is the gasket that seals the reg pump body to the crankcase.

I'm assuming the 45 is like the 60/61 was.
