NC Spitting Fuel

My 120 NC spits fuel at idle. Not just a little bit but a lot! I have turned the regulator screw in a little bit, but I think the correct position is even with the casing. Mine is a little below that mark.
I don't want to screw this in much farther for fear of cooking the engine. Other than this spitting and loading up at idle the engine runs fine. Is there somthing else to do for this condition?

The regulator plunger and spring need to be replaced.

Thanks for the tips Dave

As suggested I replaced the regulator plunger and spring and a diaphragm for good measure, and now this engine is performing just as a new one! Starts first flip with a chicken stick and idles great.
