I purchased an RCS 44 twin not long ago on RCU I finally got around to test run the motor. Motor idles well and transitions good to Hi throttle.
However I noticed a small amount of oil residue coming from the crank case seam on the top side of the motor between the front case housing and
the rear ( I guess rotary ) housing, between the 2nd and 3rd case bolts from the front of the motor. Do the two case halves require a gasket or a casket
compound like RTV sealant. Can I ignore this small leak or should I attend to it.. If so I will have to disassemble the motor to get to that crankcase joint.
The leaking residue increases with RPM. None at idle and more at hi throttle.
Any suggestions??
Brian
