Have an older ZDZ 80 which was never run till a few weeks ago, it ran fine for several flights and now it runs poorly, wont take throttle and when it first started acting up it sounded like it was missing in the air, wondering if this could be an ignition problem (someone mentioned that they had some problems with the older style ignitions for this engine) and if there is a fix for it, maybe an updated ignition?

Sounds like a bad battery or connection.
As a diagnostic replace the battery.
